Content Writers are responsible for the creation of clear and consistent written content. This task often involves liaising with clients and other marketing professionals. Their duties and responsibilities can include:
- Completing writing projects according to given style and assignment specifications before deadlines
- Developing new content ideas for clients
- Researching topics so their content contains timely and accurate information
- Revising existing content to reflect business changes or new preferences
- Creating or revising style guides, either alone or with a team, to ensure all written content is effective and consistent
- Determining content needs through conversations with clients and their representatives.

Content Writers rely on various skills in their careers. A successful Content Writer candidate will have various prerequisite skills and qualifications that include:
- Grammar, including a history of editing based on the parts of speech in English
- Content creation, structuring articles, choosing consumer titles and assigning
- SEO keywords
- Specialisation in a specific market, niche or industry
- Market research and analysis skills to identify trending, in-market topics
- Advanced computer literacy like short keys, HTML coding and internet publishing
- Quantitative and qualitative research, identifying credible sources and web-friendly links.
